My Brief Eternity documents the making of the last artistic work of renowned Welsh artist Osi Rhys Osmond. It explores his reflections on the power of art – its role and significance in his life, and its value in coping and living with cancer. The film provides an intimate portrayal of the artist’s mindset, thoughts and feelings using a gentle, sensitive approach. Osi explores art as a prism for capturing life, and the creative process as a metaphor for living and dying – managing to inspire and remain optimistic in the face of his approaching death.

"This is a powerful film in which we see the artist, Osi Rhys Osmond, making a painting both delicate and delightful, while confronting his imminent death. It is very moving."
Sandy Nairne, curator and writer, former chair of the Maggie's Art Group

Shot on location in Llansteffan, Wales, on Canon 5D MkIII and Sony FS7. In association with: Maggie’s Cancer Caring Charity and University of Wales Trinity Saint David – the film and artwork being intended to raise awareness of the therapeutic value of art in dealing with cancer, and Osi's legacy.
